Friday, 3/28:
Work on either research for your presentation (see notes below), finish your sig figs WS and check the answers using the link below, practice Sig Figs using the two games linked below, or work on optional assignments from the past (links also below.

Significant Figures Notes (Started Wed)

Significant figures practice WS  (includes answers on second page)

Sig Figs game 1

Sig Figs game 2

Optional assignment: New Madrid Turns 200

Optional assignment: Tectonic Plate Simulation

Monday: (Optional) present what you have researched (on your own) about a topic concerning something following the themes of:
Groundwater - quality and quantity  (you can look into political viewpoints surrounding water too)
Caves and sinkholes
Mineral formation
Rock differentiation
Or be creative if you like with something not listed if you can relate it.  :)
~5 minute presentation (or more if you wish), with sources - may be multimedia like a prezi or slideshow, a poster, or just a lecture or sketches on the board.
Points will be counted as optional assignment points; will only help your grade.  The number of points will depend on the quality, difficulty, research, knowledge shared in the presentation, but I expect to range between 10 and 40 for most folks.
