final exam snippets

remember, our last optional assignment (the last post on my blog) is due no later than Monday in class.
I had several people request to hear what the final exam topics were going to be. Although I don't want to completely give in on this (we had only 4 big units this semester, and I am letting you choose which question you want to answer), I feel I should give some guidance so you have a general idea of what to expect.
Some snippets of the questions (there is a little more detail you will receive on Tues/Wed, and there will be about two questions from each unit):

Examples:
Explain electric resistance, voltage, current, and power as they apply in examples of electric circuits....

Describe energy transformations that take place during the water cycle...

Explain the manipulation of electricity to make magnetic fields...

Explain magnetic field strength and implications on other materials...

Describe the most common types of stars, forces ruling their characteristics, and how we know what we know about them...

Explain different information that the electromagnetic spectrum gives us about the universe using terms and concepts studied in class...

Relate astronomy and meteorology topics/causes into an explanation of the distribution of energy on our planet (different climates and temperatures especially)...

Final Optional Assignment, Cumulative Exam Fri

https://docs.google.com/document/d/18D94oD1xAK7cB-Ai4g6pgpZDJ3dz4vDCEqzDsA43FPY/edit

the last optional assignment is involving waves.  (above)..  It's kind of big, so if you complete it (correctly) it will be worth 20 points.  Turn in no later than 5/14, during class.  If you plan to email it to me, do so over the weekend.

Today we contributed to the time vaults of 2024 and 2041, and went over exam scores.  Tomorrow and Thursday will be review days for your cumulative exam, and Monday and Tues/Wed will be demonstration days (plus some time for a few folks to take a final essay exam).
